Puppies
Our puppies are whelped and raised in our home. They are part of our daily lives and exposed to the household chaos and noises. During these first important weeks of their development, we try to expose them to all the typical aspects of household life, so that they learn to meet other beings, human and animal, and unexpected noises with fearless wonder and curiosity. This will underline and strengthen the even and fearless character that the breed is known for.
They are exposed to being inspected by the cat, furry aunts and many human visitors of all ages. Once their little legs are sturdy enough and the weather is not too formidable, they get to explore the garden and begin to use the outside for potty.
Any prospective puppy people are encouraged to come and visit the puppies often and play with them at length. Especially, if there are children in the family. This will help to give us a clear picture of their individual little characters and help us stand by with advise for their next family, should the need arise.
These early visits establish a bond, not only between the puppies and their new families, but also between us.
